Booking & lessons

How many lessons will I need before my driving test?

Most learners need between 40 and 50 hours of professional tuition alongside private practice. However, everyone learns at a different pace. Gokhan will assess your progress and give you an honest estimate after your first few lessons.

Do you offer automatic driving lessons in Enfield?

Yes. Gokhan offers both automatic and manual driving lessons across Wood Green, Enfield, Cheshunt, Edmonton, Tottenham and Turnpike Lane. Automatic lessons are a popular choice for learners who want to focus entirely on road skills rather than gear changes.

What areas do you cover?

GokhanDrive covers Wood Green, Enfield and Cheshunt, as well as Edmonton, Tottenham and Turnpike Lane. Not sure if your street is covered? Send Gokhan a WhatsApp and he will confirm.

Where do lessons start?

Pick-up and drop-off points are agreed in advance between you and Gokhan, so lessons can start from home, college or work within the areas covered.

When are lessons available?

Lessons run Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm.

Is Gokhan a fully qualified driving instructor?

Yes. Gokhan is a DVSA-approved ADI (Approved Driving Instructor), which means he has passed rigorous theory, driving ability, and instructional ability tests set by the government. You can trust you are learning from a fully qualified professional.

Prices, payment & cancellations

How much do driving lessons cost?

Lessons are priced per hour with no hidden fees. You pay on the day — no large upfront block payments required. Contact Gokhan to get the current rate.

When do I pay?

Payment is due at the start of each lesson unless you have agreed otherwise with Gokhan. Accepted payment methods are confirmed when you book.

What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before your lesson are completely free. Cancellations within 48 hours incur a fee of half the hourly lesson price to cover the instructor's time. Full details are in the Terms & Conditions.

What if Gokhan has to cancel?

If a lesson has to be cancelled because of bad weather, a vehicle issue or illness, it is rescheduled at no extra cost to you.

Your driving test

Which test centre will I take my test at?

Gokhan's students take their practical test at the Wood Green or Enfield driving test centres. Mock tests are carried out on the roads around your test centre so test day feels familiar.

Do I need a provisional licence for lessons?

Yes. You must hold a valid provisional driving licence and bring it to every lesson — the lesson cannot go ahead without it.

I've failed my test before. Can you help?

Absolutely. Gokhan specialises in identifying exactly what went wrong on a previous test and correcting it, using his visual diagrams to make the tricky situations click.

If I pass in an automatic, can I drive a manual?

No. Passing your test in an automatic car means your full licence only covers automatic cars. If you want to drive manual cars too, you would need to pass a test in a manual.
